TISA 5
TISA 5 CONSTRUCTION PLANS

We are delighted to announce that we hope to start construction in March 2012 of the new TISA 5 indoor sports facility. This will createtwo combined purpose-built sports halls side by side under the same roof, thereby doubling the available indoor playing area.

Extra space will mean that more activities can take place at the same time, or that large groups can be divided into smaller groups. In addition, when we host indoor competitive sports against other schools at TISA we will have a top quality playing area we can be proud of to complement the superb grass surface outside.

The main part of the new facility will comprise a competition specification gymnasium with bleachers for spectators and next to it we will have a multi-purpose hall of the same size. On the ground floor there will also be a spacious lobby, toilets and a weights room (see below).  The upper floor will house classroom space, coaching and office facilities, an area for aerobics and locker rooms.

Ground floor plan:

We have tried to incorporate into the design as much natural light as possible, to provide the most modern sporting equipment available and to make the hall space flexible to allow the area to be adapted to the specific needs of various activities.

I am sure you will agree that this will be a tremendous addition to the TISA campus and that it will align us more closely with the standards of sporting facilities available elsewhere.
