Computer Technologies
The Technology Department consists of Computer Technology and Design Technology. TISA has four computer labs in TISA 1, 2 and 4 and an open Student Research Area in TISA 3. There are 15 computers in the Secondary library and several in the Primary Resource Area and Primary library. In addition the Primary school has access to 2 laptop trolleys. Networked printers and photocopiers are located around the school. The school campus is entirely wireless so that laptops can be connected to the Internet and the school network. There is an internal school email for teaching staff and administration. In 2006 TISA opened a new Design Technology workshop with a computer equipped classroom attached.

All students study Computer Technology (CT) and Design Technology (DT) for the first three years in the secondary school. In CT students use the Adobe Master Collection software suite together with Microsoft Office to create multimedia presentations, animations, web sites, publications, databases and spreadsheets. All computer projects follow the MYP design life cycle which consists of an investigation stage, design, planning, creation, reflection and evaluation.

At the end of M3, students choose either CT or DT to study for the MYP Diploma in M4 and M5.
