The TISA Board of Governors is composed of nine dedicated members who bring a diverse range of experiences from various fields. Here is a closer look at our Board:
- Board President- This position is appointed by the bp Regional President.
- Bp Representatives- Two additional bp representatives and TISA parents are also appointed.
- Embassy Representation- One board member is appointed by the United States Embassy and one board member is appointed by the Embassy of the United Kingdom.
- Business Representative- One board member connected to the AIOC is appointed by the Board.
- Parent Representative- The President of the Parent Teacher Association is elected and serves as a non-voting member of the Board.
- Staff Representative- The Staff Council elects a member to serve a two year term as a non-voting member of the Board.
- The Director serves on the Board as a non-voting member.
The Board of Governors plays a critical role in guiding and securing the future of TISA. They are responsible for setting the school’s strategic vision and establishing key policies. While the Board focuses on the overarching strategy and policy-making, they delegate the day-to-day management of the school to the Director. This collaborative relationship between the Board and the Director balances strategy and operations, allowing the school to run smoothly and successfully.
The Board meets monthly during the school term, and we ensure transparency by providing updates for the TISA community throughout the year.
