We are currently looking for an experienced Secondary EAL (English as an Additional Language) Teacher Assistant to provide support to teachers in differentiating for our EAL learners M1-DP2.

Successful candidates, who will be working closely with students and teachers, will require patience, flexibility and strong collaboration skills. There will be support available from the Secondary School EAL department and administration to offer assistance, training and advice.
The main responsibilities of the EAL Teacher Assistant include:
- Providing push-in support to allow EAL learners to access the curriculum
- Providing pull-out intensive EAL booster sessions during the school day
- Providing after school EAL support on some days
- Working with teachers to differentiate lessons, activities and assessments
- Working with small groups of students within lessons
- Support in the development of the EAL curriculum
Successful candidates will have the following skills and experience:
Essential:
- Advanced Level of English
- Confident and outgoing
- Previous experience in the classroom
- Proactive and ready to learn
- Good collaboration skills
- Teaching qualification
Desired:
- Experience with IB
- Experience of working in an international environment
