Day One - Exhibition!
- Gaya, P8 |
This morning, the P8s and their parents joined the Secondary School at the Secondary Community Gathering and had their first significant opportunity to learn more about the Middle Years Programme, face-to-face with the MYP's most recent inductees - the M1s. TISA's young PYP "graduates" have only recently showcased their learning at the PYPX, a collaborative exhibition of in-depth inquiries that traditionally marks the conclusion of PYP. Today the P8s were no longer the presenters at an exhibition, but rather the audience at one - the intricacies of MYP unraveling before them in an informative and ambitious visual display meticulously prepared by TISA's M1s and M2s.
- Amy, P8 |
On the first day of the P8-M1 transition week, the students got to meet their prospective Secondary School teachers, talk to MYP students about their experiences of the transition a year ago, explore the subject groups that comprise MYP, understand how their learning will evolve over the next year, and enjoy some cake with their parents! The latter were equally excited about their children's imminent graduation into MYP - Lana, one of the P8 parents, even said she wouldn't mind returning to secondary school herself!
- Layla, P8 |
Welcome P8s! Thank you P8s and their parents who joined us this morning for the Secondary Community Gathering and learned more about the M1 Programme. If you're a P8 parent, you missed this morning and have more questions about M1, drop a note to MYP gurus Marie or Romita at myp@tisa.az.
Day 2: Sports Day!
- Mathilde, P8 |
P8s help lead the Red House to Victory! They may have been the youngest students on the field and in the gym at the Secondary Sports Day today, but that did not keep the P8s from supporting their houses, Blue, Yellow, Green and this year’s champions, Red!
- Aria, P8 |
On the courts and on the field, the P8s did the primary school proud. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm and their skills. Our secondary school houses are certainly glad to have these new members.
